Happy Birthday Greg!

So, it's my husband's birthday today. I won't share his age (because that wouldn't be polite!), but I will tell you mine; I just turned 61. Greg takes great delight, from February 14th to March 7th, in telling everyone we're the same age. I'll say no more!

Happy Birthday, Dog Whisperer!

One of the things Greg misses about home is visiting one of his favour local places, Chip N Charlies, for fish and chips. I always say it's his Cheers. So, last night we went out for fish and chips to a nearby bar, but it just wasn't the same. When we get back to Niagara Falls, it will probably be one of the first places he visits!

Across the street from our current home is Horizon Park, a large recreational complex that includes areas for softball, tennis, volleyball, and basketball, as well a children's playground. It also has an enclosed dog park where they can run off-leash and socialize with other dogs. Today, like yesterday, our social life was at the nearby dog park as it's so convenient to take Harley there. We inevitably chat with a lot of other people too; it's quite enjoyable.

Apparently there's a group of men who meet most early mornings at the dog park. In Niagara Falls you can often see similar clutches of men, but they're at local coffee shops. Different climates call for different social settings, I guess. No one wants to sit in a park in Niagara Falls right now!
