A day at the beach

The weather warmed up today, so it was a great day to explore the area. We took the Topanga Canyon scenic road to the Pacific coast.

We walked the beachfront at Venice Beach, which was a great people-watching spot.

Greg noticed a mismatch in the scene below. Where else would you see a stretch limousine parked outside a hostel?

I was fascinated by Muscle Beach, where guys with amazing abs did routines on equipment and made it look oh-so-easy. This man held that pose like it was no big deal. Amazing.

We moved on to Santa Monica for lunch. Greg is always teasing me that he plans to decorate our home with hubcaps, so when we saw the decor of the restaurant, it was a bit of a joke with us!

The weather forecast promises warmer temperatures this week, so we're looking forward to more warm sunshine. At last, the warm weather we came here for!
