Yesterday was a red-flag day, with riptide warnings in the weather forecast, and yet people were still swimming. The water's too cold for me anyway!
We again drove over the bridge between Okaloosa Island and Destin, which gave us a beautiful view of Destin Harbor.
Today we stopped to see the Kitty Hawk Kites Fly into Spring Event near the pier on the island.
Some kites were very colourful...
... but eventually they all come down to not much at all!
Those kite photos were all taken within a 10-minute period, so I found it interesting to see the variety of colours in the sky. It's a two-day event, so maybe we'll be back there again tomorrow.
I love seeing those kites... we went to a kite-flying event on the Oregon coast a few years ago... like yours, a lot of color and fun.
